PLASA 2004 was once again very hectic, thank you to everybody who came to see us. Two launches this time, the 4channel Air-Fetti Cannon made its UK debut and its bigger brother the 8 Channel Air-fetti Cannon made its world debut.

Business was brisk with new customers from the Canaries, New Zealand and Russia

A prize draw was held during the show with the winner receiving an 8 channel Air-Fetti system and a PDS-2 controller. After many attempts at bribery and corruption, the eventual winner was Mathew Jones from Buckley in Flintshire, who is currently working as a freelance stage manager with Butlins in Bognor Regis.  ((Include Photo)) caption 

The CATS tour has been extended, currently running in Lisbon, will move to Wimbledon and then Euro Disney for an undisclosed period and then possibly back into the West End of London.

Starlight Express starts the first leg of its' tour in Manchester next month, once again our effects will be featured thanks to Howard Eaton Lighting, who also hit top spot with UK sales, TM 87 of Madrid took the export honours.

Visitors to the Ford stand of the Motor show were treated to some stunning action displays with a hefty dose of our arena range of pyro, thanks to Andy McVean and Jen Townsend of SFX Ltd

Andy also chose our products for Brainiacs (Sky) Stars in Their Eyes (Granada) Ant and Dec (Granada)

The new Air-Fetti system was given a TV debut through Starburst Fireworks of Jersey during the Grand Final of "Simply the Best"

Wow, September is gonna be BIG. The new Air Fetti cannon systems are going great with interest spreading fast. The Air cannon has also had it's television debut on the ITV Saturday entertainment show "Simply the Best".

The 8 Channel Air cannons are now ready and will be launched to the public at the Plasa show this year. The Air systems will be available in the flesh, well metal actually, on our stand plus a very special prize draw will be taking place as well.

Hello, and welcome once again to the Skyhigh FX website. 

First things first, apologies for the severe lack of updates and news on the site recently. We've had a very busy year so far and it doesn't look like that's going to change any time soon. Subsequently, I found it a little hard to spend as much time as I would have liked on the site. However, this is all good as I'm pleased to announce the launch of our new compressed air system.

Yes that's right, the 4 channel Air Fetti Cannon is finally available plus we will be launching an 8 channel Air Fetti Cannon at Plasa this year.

The Air Fetti Cannons fire compressed air cartridges filled with confetti, available in large or small sizes. We also sell empty tubes which can be filled with glitter or streamers in various colors to suit your event or occasion. Air Fetti cartridges are safe for indoor use as they do not contain a pyrotechnic charge and are completely disposable.

The system features all the usual Skyhigh FX innovations such as test and armed switch, indicator LED's and adjustable firing modes for single shot or sequential firing. Wow, the first of this years updates and it's a biggie!! We've been hard at work this year refining our products and production methods, and it is you the customer who will reap the rewards.

Firstly, the most dramatic news this year is the reduction in the price of our 7 and 10 second gerbs and the introduction of a 3 second gerb.

The 7 second gerb (M1110) has been reduced to £25.00 (€42.05) per box of 5. Giving you a saving of £2.90 over last years price. The 10 second gerb (T3150) has also been reduced to £30.00 (€51.00) for a box of 5. This is a massive saving of £4.00 per box from last year

The new 3 second gerb (M1123) is priced at £25.00 (€42.50) per box of 5.

Another new effect we are launching this year is the Sky-Glitter Burst T2021 to T2026. This is a wired effect designed to be hung from truss or grid bars and when fired produces a dynamic burst of glitter.

We now also manufacture our own glitter which is cut to 20 x 50mm. The price has dropped from the previous year's price of £28.00, to £25.00 per kilo and is supplied in bags of 1kg or 5kg. The glitter is available in Red, Blue, Green, Silver, Gold or Multi-coloured.

As we continually work towards Safety, Quality and Cost, we have re-designed our Confetti Cannon (T3111) making it easier to use and more efficient. Similarly our Bomb Tank (T3110) has also undergone a make-over and is now easier to use with ergonomic handles. The base has been re-designed to allow the bomb tank to always sit flat on the ground, and we've added a dividing plate to the inside to prevent cross firing.

Skyhigh FX recently exhibited and demonstrated on Salisbury Plain at the ARMY 2002 event. Working closely with Army co-coordinators, Skyhigh was asked to simulate enemy fire at close quarters to the thousands of spectators, providing heavy artillery explosions as little as 50 metres from the public.

The British Army’s showcase event for 2002, ‘ARMY 2002’ was the most action-packed event of the year, with the only "All Arms" firepower demonstration ever mounted for the public.

With almost every weapon in the British Army’s inventory taking part, tanks, artillery and infantry, supported by attack helicopters, transport aircraft and fast jet bombers the audience saw, and very definitely heard, the biggest demonstration of military might ever held in Europe.

I've added a productions section to the website today. In this section we will display some of the shows and events etc, which have used skyhigh FX pyrotechnics. This gives people visiting the site an idea of the kind of uses many of our effects can have. Plus it also gives a broader picture as to the kind of company we are. This section will be constantly updated so if you would like a listing for your event or show please get in touch.
